Runny nose, sneezing, mild cough, scratchy throat, headache, fatigue, body aches...y'all keep calling it Omicron. I've always just called it working outside in the Winter. I can't remember the last time I spent a Winter without those symptoms. How am I supposed to know if I even get it?

@eliasshedd He has already flip-flopped on that, like he does everything else. I've got some news for you: The guy who said kids could get AIDS from touching cereal boxes does not have the final say on how diseases spread. I don't really care what Fauci says, one way or another. I watch the data and see what it says. So far, the data is very promising. By the way, the data doesn't only say that Omicron is milder. It also says that being vaccinated only provides about 35% protection from catching Omicron and being boosted only brings you up to about 75%. The data says that the relatively few who are dying with Omicron have serious comorbidities and/or are elderly...regardless of vaccination status. So, Fauci can sing and dance to whichever tune he chooses on a given day. The data is the data.

Double jab gives you a "whopping" 35% protection level from getting Omicron. The booster takes you up to about 75% (still much lower than necessary to prevent infection at this rate of spread). We're all going to get this one. That's okay. I spend the whole Winter with a runny nose, mild cough, sneezing, fatigue, and headaches. I'm not sure I'll even notice.

@hieithegreat Read my comment again. Do so carefully. Try to comprehend what you're reading before you respond. Let me know when you've realized your glaring mistake. If you can't find it, you're not worth talking to because you're incapable of rational thought.

@galupproperties3098 I work outdoors most of the year, doing construction. The runny nose, scratchy throat, cough, and sneezing are from the cold, wet air. Everything else is from the work. It's completely normal.

@galupproperties3098 That was a wild 180. I mentioned that I have these symptoms a lot. You asked if that was normal. I explained that it was. Then, you come at me with the death of your father. I'm truly sorry for your loss, as my own father has COPD and likely won't survive any variant. However, I fail to see how that has to do with my statements about my own symptoms.

Look at that perfect example of why people don't want "universal healthcare" in the US. See, people like you exist at all levels. You're the type who would push to take such decisions out of the hands of medical professionals and give them to some board of bureaucrats. "Healthcare is a human right!" Sure it is. That's why people want to give the government the power to deny people that "right."
2
@Andy Null It's short-sighted to not want bureaucrats deciding who does and does not get medical treatment? Sure, okay. I can live with being mislabeled on those grounds.

@galupproperties3098 Fair enough.

@ghostface8468 Fully aware. Not sure why you felt the need to add that. It really has nothing to do with what I said.

@ghostface8468 Not excited. Just curious.
