  1. The "No Smoking" rule at gas stations has little to do with the cigarette, itself. The act of lighting a cigarette typically involves a lighter. An open flame is capable of igniting gasoline or its fumes. Rather than put this incredibly fine point on the issue by having "No Lighting Cigarettes With An Open Flame" signs, they simply say "No Smoking" to cover all bases easily. The fact is, more gas station fires (per year) are started by static charge - from getting in and out of your vehicle and then touching the nozzle - than by smokers doing their thing.

  2. Tony John Got payments he couldn't afford, so he had to jack his deductible to make his insurance payments lower. Happens all the time. People get vehicles out of their budget, screw them up, then can't get them fixed. Lessons learned.

  6. MitcheeRides Depends on your deductible and the vehicle. My brother-in-law has a $100 deductible, so he always has his insurance cover glass replacement.
