Great video. I really like that "tactical" vest. I might have to get one for my smaller dog (75 pounds), since the MOLLE pouches look to be better suited for small, light items. Our big boy (125 pounds so far) is already outfitted with a decent enough pack (for now) and won't be getting a new one until he's done growing. One tip for anyone considering dog packs. A good rule of thumb is that a healthy dog can only carry up to 15% of its own weight safely when traveling more than a mile or two. That's 7.5 pounds for a 50 pound dog, 15 pounds for a 100 pound dog, etc. If you want your dog to be able to haul more than that, it's recommended that you have them pull a cart or sled instead.

Also (and I can't believe I didn't mention this first), ALWAYS balance your dog's pack as best as you can. Uneven weight distribution hurts their joints just as much as ours (if not more so). If you want them to carry water, consider using two 16 ounce bottles (one on each side) instead of one 32 ounce (for example). If you have to, throw an extra towel or something in the lighter side to balance the pack. It's actually better for them to carry a little extra balanced weight than a lesser amount of unbalanced weight.
