  1. Yeah? How about the 19 Republicans who sided with them? If you still think one party cares about you more than the other, you haven't been paying attention. Democrats and Republicans are two cars driving the same direction, down the same highway, at slightly different speeds. Maybe it's time to install a couple of safety switches and stall their vehicles. It's time for another option.

  2. I just won't buy a 2026 or newer vehicle. I've only got another 40 years on this earth, at best. Maybe 30 of being able to drive. I can get by on used vehicles. I feel sad for everyone who has to live in the world that will exist after I'm gone, though. With the way things are going, it's going to be a true dystopian nightmare. I was born in 1983 and it seems that - decades later - I'm gonna die in 1984.

  4. I want footage of the LA freeway about the time these cars hit the road. Driving through LA is an exercise in evasive maneuvering. About the time these cars start "safely" pulling across 5 lanes of traffic to stop - because the drivers swerved "too many times" - it's going to be pure chaos. Then the ones behind them will do the same, as those drivers try to avoid the cars ahead of them. It's going to be absolutely insane. On the right day, the I-5 might back up, all the way to Mexico!

  5. News flash: Once you all have push-button ignitions or remote start/stop functions, it won't matter at all what kind of motor is under the hood. New cars have drive-by-wire, break by wire, electronically controlled transmissions, etc. The motor has nothing to do with it. Most cars manufactured in the last 20 years could be retrofitted with a control module in under an hour. Oops.

  6. You think the type of motor makes any difference? Modern ICE vehicles are nearly all drive-by-wire, brake-by-wire, electronically controlled transmissions, etc. Hell, many have remote start/stop and push-button ignitions. With a few servos and RF units, you could remotely control the majority of cars made today. They could literally start your car and drive it down the road, from the other side of the world. I have no use for EVs but to pretend they need EVs to exist in order to control cars is just ridiculous.

  12. She reminded me of this body cam video I saw. The cops pulled over this deranged old woman who had had so much to drink that she blew three times the legal limit. Sounded just like the old bat in this video.
