@k8k355 From what I heard, he survived the Holocaust by being a turncoat for the NAZIs. Anyone who survives something like that by throwing other people to the wolves is not some kind of folk hero. He was faced with evil and decided to join up.

The Streisand Effect is when you try desperately to keep something a secret and end up causing it to catch the public eye (named after Barbra Streisand's attempt to have all photos of her home erased from the Internet). Facebook started a smear campaign to shine a bad light on this guy and it backfired.
