  1. All I see is a perfect example of why "protest permits" are complete BS. This pro-Bernie activist just did something befitting a Clinton or Trump by paying to silence his opponents. I have no idea why we've let it get to the point where we have to pay the government a fee to be able to exercise our Constitutional Rights. Protest permits? Are we going to have a tax on changing religions next? How about a "due process fee" where the police get to treat you however they want unless you can afford to pay them. Ooh wait, we already have that one too.

  3. +Short Names Of course they do. I mean, that's why they're always hanging out near the most likely places for mass shootings, right? Oh wait. They don't. The majority of protests don't need extra police presence. Of the countless protests that have occurred in the US, only a very small percentage of them have turned violent. Of that already small percent, an even smaller percentage turned into more than what a few officers could handle. Face it. It's a money grab and a way to limit our First Amendment Rights. Plain and simple.
