I love that the responses you're getting are from people whose argument seems to be that, just because you're in a relationship with someone, doesn't mean you know them well enough to trust them. That is absolutely true. People act like sex is a transaction that's supposed to happen just because two people are together. There isn't even a consideration that it takes a long time to know someone well enough to truly trust them. Why? Because "sex feel good" and "no sex feel bad." The more we progress, the more we turn back into neanderthals, I swear.

@thea_therian Is there anything wrong with taking responsibility for having sex with someone you can't possibly know well enough to trust?

@MissylovesTrouble Your friend obviously didn't know him that well, then. It's obviously nit about a timeframe as much as it's about actually knowing the other person. Not sure why it's so important to have sex before actually knowing someone.

Maybe just don't have sex with people you can't trust...

@thea_therian Your response isn't clear. You're saying there is something wrong with taking responsibility for having sex with someone you can't trust...because states have more control over abortions, again? That seems a bit off to me. I would think it's even more important to act responsibly, now that a lot of women can't just use abortions as a form of birth control.

The solution is simple. All they have to do is decriminalize drugs, drug trafficking, gang activity, violent shootings, and bombings. Once those aren't criminal actions, they won't count towards the crime rate. That, in turn will cause a reduction in the crime rate, on paper. Voila! Crime has gone down!
