  1.  @bennyragz  Most modern cars with a homebase connection can be disabled remotely. It doesn't matter what fuel type the motor uses. Electrics are simply more susceptible to grid-down instances. However, if the grid is down, the pumps at your local gas station are, too. Most people aren't prepared for that scenario, regardless of what they drive.

  5.  @charlebrownga  You can also hook that generator up to a charger and charge an electric car, once you've pumped some gas up for it. That doesn't change anything I said.
