  1. I agree that broadband needs to be far reaching but not for the same reason. More remote internet access is more education access for remote people. The benefit of that in a State like West Virginia cannot be overstated. The whole remote worker scene is already starting to implode on itself. Employers are starting to push at least partial in-office time every week. It's hard to live three hours from the city when you have to go into the office 2-3 days/week. Other employers are ending the experiment entirely. That's without discussing the impossibility of moving to another State. As it turns out, very few people are actually productive when working from home and most of those were already working remotely before the pandemic. Those who don't want to go back to the office will be competing against a sea of others for the few remote jobs that will be left. As predicted, the experiment (and thus, the vacation) is over. Remote work will go back to being a niche field - even if a slightly larger niche than before.
