  3. Northern California is much cheaper than Southern or Central. Most of Nevada is cheaper (and safer) than Las Vegas. Then there's Texas, Utah, Arizona, Oregon, Idaho...it all depends on what you're looking for.

  4. You think it's dumb to move out of a State because of politics? So, people who believe firmly it's their right to have an abortion should stay in a State where it's essentially illegal? People who believe firmly in their right to keep and bear arms should stay in a State that makes it virtually impossible to do so? The politics of a place are important. Thanks to so many people thinking it's okay to vote away the rights of their fellow citizens, it can be a very compelling reason to move. I thought you said you were a Libertarian. You certainly don't sound like one.
