Having lived in Santa Barbara and spent plenty of time in Florida, I agree. So Cal has a whole lot of problems but weather isn't one of them.

That is an apt description of SB...15+ years ago. It's not beautiful anymore and the people are less friendly by the day.

@Gary65437 I moved out of SB about 15 years ago. Being able to buy a nice house in a good neighborhood for less than what I was spending to rent a bedroom in someone else's crappy apartment doesn't make me feel poor at all. When it gets too cold, I turn on my furnace. When it gets too hot, I turn on my air conditioner. My cost of living is so much lower that now I can afford to take my family on vacations to SB and actually enjoy it, rather than just dreaming about being able to. My wife has family down there. One of her cousins refuses to move because "It's Santa Barbara! They have everything here!" Last I heard, she was living in her car with her daughter and working at a gas station. If she worked at a gas station in my town, she'd be able to afford her own apartment. But hey, the weather sure is nice...

@gmegbert Looking at your responses to myself and others, you're either blind or a liar. You can try to fool people who don't visit there regularly but others of us know better.
