  1. You're absolutely right and I don't understand it at all. I'm relocating in about a year. I did a lot of research and chose a State that aligns closely with my politics, personality, and budget (along with a bunch of other factors). Most people seem to ignore the obvious, choose a "most moved to State" that they can afford, and go for it. Then, they try to change the State to make them more comfortable. It's insane. Pro tip for those who are thinking about relocating: There are 49 other States to choose from. Do the research and choose the one that's right for you, not the one that's trending.
