Even the big corporate fast food chains are going to end up closing restaurants. There are six fast food joints in my city. Friday and Saturday nights used to see lines around their parking lots to get to the drive-thru. Now, it's rare to see more than one other car in line when you pull in. They've all raised their prices and reduced their workforce, so now they screw up the orders even worse than they used to and it costs more. Most folks around here are getting fast food a lot less than we used to. There's no point when you can eat in a real restaurant for a similar price and actually get the food you ordered. Don't worry, though. When that industry tanks, California politicians will spin it as a good thing, since fast food is unhealthy. Plus, they'll have all those people - who used to work fast food - receiving more government assistance. That's basically like buying votes. Nobody votes against the politicians putting food on their table, even if those politicians are responsible for them losing their jobs in the first place.
