  1. They run insanely long trains through Northern California all the time. I was driving through a smaller city up there and saw a coupler explode between two cars. Thankfully, the train was crawling at the time, so it just lead to further decoupling from the recoil. However, the train sat there, cutting part of the town in half for about ten hours. After seeing this video, I'm just glad it wasn't a lot worse.
