  1. Actually, if you add up the Federally controlled lands and the privately owned land in California, the vast majority of those who own this State have no interest in leaving the US. The majority who do, are people who are renting someone else's property. They can leave whenever they want and it won't bother those of us who own this State, at all. I'm not really sure what's stopping them. If I wanted to leave, I'd have to give up my land. If they leave, they can take everything they own with them.
