mrmiura story No. "Democrat" is a political party with ever-changing points of view. Conservatism is a set of principles.

They couldn't find anything to exploit. They couldn't get dad to talk politics. They couldn't get him to talk about school shootings. They couldn't get footage of anything dangerous or negligent going on. There was no ground to stand on. I'm actually kinda surprised they aired it at all. They must not have had a backup story ready, since they were likely certain that this was going to be a big one for them.

Optimist: I don't want to be a victim, so I want someone to take the guns away. Realist: I don't want to be a victim and nobody else is going to protect me. I guess I'd better get a gun and learn how to use it.

Truth. Everyone claiming this is somehow Texas' fault needs to pay attention. The HIV/AIDS epidemic is worse in Southern California and they HAVE thorough sex education. It's almost as though it doesn't matter what you're taught if you never learn impulse control...

Willful ignorance will always reign as long as we promote "feeling good" over everything else. Show all the stats you want to a group of young, healthy people and they will still pair up, trade diseases and get each other pregnant. Why? Because feeling good is paramount and sex feels good. They will lie to themselves and each other to get it. They will convince themselves that they are the exception. Why? Because "Everyone is special" and "Do what makes you happy" are two cornerstones of our society, now.

Sean Elku You watched people having sex with family members? Wow, you're a real sick bastard. Though, I shouldn't expect much considering your Country still believes that magical (read: inbred) blood makes some people fit to rule over everyone else. In the US, we shun such people, we don't put them on our money.

@bernetheaworrell6258 And then we had a huge war, amended the Constitution and ensured that every right documented within it applies to all Americans, regardless of race. There isn't a single Constitutional right that doesn't apply to black people today. I fail to understand the point of your comment.

@kc2094 A. It's not "the same 5-10 black conservatives." Some racists just have a harder time differentiating between black folks. B. The Southern Strategy has been disproven. Do you also believe that Christopher Columbus was a super good guy, just because it was taught in schools at one point? Or maybe you think that Thanksgiving started because the pilgrims and the natives all wanted to hold hands and skip through the fields together. I mean, if it's taught in public schools it must be true, right? C. Lincoln would have a hell of a lot more in common with modern Conservatives than modern Liberals. In fact, he'd be "worse." Where do you think he'd stand on the welfare state? Gun control? National security? Single payer healthcare? Trans rights? Yeah, think about it. Abraham Lincoln would make many of today's hardcore Conservatives look like a bunch of tree hugging hippies.

"White Nationalists feel emboldened by Trump. How do you square yourself with that?" The Black Panthers felt emboldened by Obama. I don't hold that against him.

My father was Private Eye, in the Army. We don't choose our last names, nor do people in the military or militias choose their own rank. You assume the guy's last name isn't Rambo because you want to be able to trash him for it. That's pretty sad.

Maybe it's time for people to start controlling their impulses, instead of going around being human injection pumps for disease. Condoms alone are not enough. A modicum of self control makes the biggest difference.

@6971robi And which Party keeps saying "If you vote for us, we'll give you free stuff," the Republicans or the Democrats? It seems it's the Left that thinks black people want free stuff from the government. Otherwise, why would they continue to offer free stuff in trade for votes?
1
@6971robi Any politician that said they wanted to expand welfare/assistance programs was saying that. Or were you thinking I meant they said "We'll give you free stuff" verbatim? That's the Democrats, Bub. They're all about promising the world and then giving jack shit...until the next election cycle. Yeah, they gave us Obama. What exactly did Obama do for black communities? Not much other than "be black." He really didn't end up being any better than any other Democrat in that regard. As for what the Republicans say, well, they say "Get a job, raise your kids, stay off drugs and don't commit crimes." I don't think that would be offensive to anyone who was already handling their business. As for what they do for black neighborhoods, it would be great if we could keep some in office in those districts long enough to find out. They don't last long, though. They don't promise sunshine and rainbows, so they get replaced by lying Democrats pretty quickly.
1
@6971robi Why are you talking about one Democrat's actions (Obama)? Is it because it's noteworthy that a Democrat did those things? Seems like it. As for Trump, I don't want to hear it. He's a RINO who jumped on the Republican ticket because he knew it was the only way he could win. He's been flopping back and forth between Red and Blue for as long as it has been advantageous to his business. As for that last part, I've got some news for you: When the Republicans talk about reducing welfare programs and forcing those who can work to get off their asses, that means everybody. They don't say "Well, let's boot the blacks off welfare but let all the white people stay on." What reality distortion field have you been living in?
1
@6971robi Politicians must have a good reason to expand welfare programs? Um, yeah. It's to bolster their voting base. That's been covered. Try to keep up.
1
@6971robi You continually use genius as an insult when you're the one who keeps thinking of things in the most simplistic terms. No, there isn't an extremely large percentage of voters in the impoverished neighborhoods...but there are enough to make a difference. Furthermore, they get all those "sympathetic" voters who think they're doing something nice by voting to allow less people to take responsibility for their lives. Honestly, this has gotten boring and I'm tired of having to explain the basic premise of the bigotry of low expectations. I think we're done here. Feel free to leave some edgy response so that you can feel like you've "won" a YouTube discussion. It's all yours, buddy. Have a nice day.

This is a nice, little Blaxploitation video you've got here...

K Hinkle That's what I tell all the homeless white dudes I see every day. They ask for my change and I tell them they don't need it! They're white, so they already have more privilege than me! So stupid...

There's no such thing as reverse racism. A person believing one race is superior to another is just a racist. A group comprised of one race wanting racial segregation is just called racism. A power structure that is specifically and intentionally designed to benefit one race over others is just called racism. We don't need buzzwords. The English language works just fine the way it is.

Law enforcement officers are not there to protect you. They have no duty to protect you, so says SCOTUS. They are there to enforce laws and arrest people who break them. That's it. The police will dutifully investigate your murder but you'll be too dead to care. They will also stand outside of a school while children are being killed...and then investigate those deaths. Their guns are on their hips to protect themselves. If you want protection, you're going to need to handle that yourself.
