  1. They couldn't find anything to exploit. They couldn't get dad to talk politics. They couldn't get him to talk about school shootings. They couldn't get footage of anything dangerous or negligent going on. There was no ground to stand on. I'm actually kinda surprised they aired it at all. They must not have had a backup story ready, since they were likely certain that this was going to be a big one for them.
