  1.  @kc2094  A. It's not "the same 5-10 black conservatives." Some racists just have a harder time differentiating between black folks. B. The Southern Strategy has been disproven. Do you also believe that Christopher Columbus was a super good guy, just because it was taught in schools at one point? Or maybe you think that Thanksgiving started because the pilgrims and the natives all wanted to hold hands and skip through the fields together. I mean, if it's taught in public schools it must be true, right? C. Lincoln would have a hell of a lot more in common with modern Conservatives than modern Liberals. In fact, he'd be "worse." Where do you think he'd stand on the welfare state? Gun control? National security? Single payer healthcare? Trans rights? Yeah, think about it. Abraham Lincoln would make many of today's hardcore Conservatives look like a bunch of tree hugging hippies.
