I like where your head's at, Eric. Unfortunately, they have an illogical response to deflect your logical challenge of their beliefs. It typically goes something like "It's not my job to teach you how to be a better ally. You need to care about this enough to look into it and figure it out for yourself." Their paradoxical thinking is truly dizzying. It's not unlike the way clinically delusional people will make their delusions more and more elaborate in response to any challenge to their validity. They have to protect their incredibly fragile view of the world, at all costs. It's would be fascinating if it wasn't so terrifying.
