You can always find the criminal in the comments by looking for the one trying to create more unarmed victims. Don't worry about me, big man. I'll be the "wimp" who is happy to continue owning firearms. If for no other reason than to upset people like you.

broly Backfires if they see the gun in the course of the stop. Suddenly you go from compliant citizen to suspect. It's not that hard to say "I just want to let you know I am legally carrying a firearm. It is in a holster on my hip. How would you like me to proceed?" The number one thing that gets black people killed is their parents. These kids get it pounded into them that they need to fear the police. Then, when they actually have to interact with police, they act erratic and jumpy and make the police think they're hiding something. The situation snowballs quickly and suddenly, they're another headline. Not saying this is always the case or that it's the victim's fault. Just saying we need to stop the cycle of mutual distrust and fear.

That's a very small percentage of officers. Let's not get sensational about it. Should systems be improved? Of course. We should always be looking to improve important aspects of our world. That's not to say that we need to pretend police are worse than they are, though.
