Alright, let's get something clear. A "young adult" is a person between the ages of 18 and 25. A child is not a young adult. An adolescent is not a young adult. Books for "young adults" belong in the "adult" section.

Because they're not calling out grooming. If you want to know who is in power, just look for the ones you're not allowed to ciritcize.

Australians don't have rights. Whenever the government feels like removing one of their privileges, they just do it. Hell, they had internment camps for people who had come into contact with people who had Covid. In Victoria, they can throw you in jail for the "heinous crime" of not actively affirming your child's gender. That's right. You not only have to accept that your daughter identifies as a radish, you have to pursue the treatments necessary to turn her into a radish. If not, they can fine you up to $10,000 and throw you in jail. They have no problem throwing a taxpayer out of a public library.

@Yoshi278 Cool. Meanwhile, that means it was always a misnomer. A young adult is an adult who is still young. If the YA genre is aimed at adolescents, it should be named accordingly. However, it's not appropriate for adolescents (any more) so it should simply be moved to another part of the library and an appropriate category made for adolescents.

@marcwilliams9824 Which means it has always been a lie...until now. Children aren't adults. It's really that simple.

@nickelakon5369 So, it's a lie. Let's stop lying. How about that?

@EmmersonSprocket So, diet soda isn't soda? If a "young adult" isn't a type of adult, then "diet soda" isn't a type of soda. Also, a "new car" is actually just a bicycle.
