@princelee3738 If you mean a traffic ticket nine years ago, sure.

Life in prison for attempting to trespass while armed seems like an overreaction. I'm a big believer in harsh punishments for the criminal use of firearms but I'd say ten years without the possibility of early release will send the message just fine.

@shaniya3847 Attempting to kill? He was holding a gun, tried to get in, got shoved back, and ran away. When was the attempt to kill? See, words mean things. You don't get to just redefine them to fit whatever emotions you're having towards a given situation. An attempted murder charge requires that you actually attempt to murder someone. "Your honor, he didn't use the weapon he had and then he ran away at the first show of force. Clearly, he should hang." is not a statement any prosecutor would make.

For slower people, there are dogs. Mine weighs about 135 lbs. I'd still be picking pieces of scumbag out of his teeth, if someone ever tried something like this at my house.

If the thing you're worried about when staring down the barrel of a gun is possible PTSD...you're living a pretty good life. Acute lead poisoning would be my first concern. It's a much more permanent condition.

This is why I'm always armed. You're not even safe opening your own front door. There are horrible people out there who are willing to hurt or kill you for their own ends. At best, they get arrested, do time, get out, and victimize someone else. It won't change until the criminals fear the consequences of their actions. That won't happen until more people start fighting back.

Only answer the door properly armed. Criminals have the advantage over their victims because they already know what they're going to do.
