  1.  @frederickloren-ey8uj  Teaching Kindergarten. Back then, teachers mostly started at lower grade levels and slowly moved up. This meant that teachers in higher grades had more real world experience in the field, and also put a larger age gap between them and students. It made sense. Now, with all of the teacher shortages, they'll take anyone with a teaching credential and have them teaching any grade. My son's high school music teacher is 23. She looks younger than a lot of her students. She wanted to teach elementary school but they already did away with the music program there. This was the only available position for teaching music, without her having to relocate.
