  1. Steve Jobs famously said that if people want porn they should get an Android. That seems like a clear enough line in the sand to me. Just get an Android and be treated like an adult.

  3.  @barongerhardt  Meanwhile, if these companies would protest California's overreach by refusing to alter course, the people of California would wake up real quick. We're talking about 40 million people, most of whom lose their minds when Starbucks runs out of soy milk. There would be blood in the streets if they couldn't lease a new car to look wealthy every three years. Not to mention the increased sales across the rest of the Country for any company publicly sticking it to California (it's the most hated State in the Union, after all). A small period of loss to effect long-term change, that would ensure fewer regulations on your business in the future? That's a net win.

  7.  @barongerhardt  A) Yes, I would happily have an activist company against State overreach, in a time when doing so can be extremely profitable. Now is the perfect time. B) Toyota definitely didn't ask for these regulations. Toyota is all about hybrids and hydrogen. They don't believe in full EVs. C) Other States and the Federal government only follow California's lead because they see it working. If they saw serious push back, they'd think twice. Even if they still move forward with implimentation, it would be further down the road. More time before EV mandates hit is something we need. The grid will crumble with our current timeline. Even faster if other States start jumping on the bandwagon due to a lack of push back.
