  1. Agreed. It reminds me of people claiming American Pitbull Terriers have "locking jaws." It's gone around so much that people actually think there's some special bone arrangement in their heads that allows their jaws to lock in place. In truth, it's about the style of bite. APBTs perform a "grab and hold" style of bite while many other breeds use a "bite and re-bite" technique. There are no special bones, it's just a trait that was encouraged throughout breeding. It's an important difference that shouldn't be "simplified" to the point of being completely incorrect.

  3. And nobody is considering the possibility that it was some lizards that evolved from snakes and not visa versa? We all came from single-cell organisms. They evolved by adding features to help expand their functionality. A few million years of getting dirt in my mouth and not being able to scratch my nose would definitely motivate me to grow some limbs.
