Using the term “livable wage” is a clear indicator that you have no concept of economics or our finical system. If they don’t pay you well, leave. Work for smaller businesses. Union’s are not the way. Let me give you an example. During COVID our local pizza place was hurting and didn’t want to let anyone go. But they had to do something to stay a business. They brought everyone together as a group and asked the younger and older employees that lived with family and weren’t taking care of a family. If they would take a cut in hours or even take a leave for a short time. This would allow them to continue to give full time hours to those that needed it the most. Those supporting families with bills. If they were union this would not be an option. In a union environment you must make employee decisions with seniority in mind. Last hired first fired is a classic union line. It doesn’t matter what’s actually best for the employees. It’s about making everyone suffer equally. Some learn from history and their elders. Some watch TikTok videos and think they know more than those that lived it. Hope you kids find your way before you all fuck yourself with your own dick. 👍🏼🇺🇸

@shuvari7707 What is your definition of an elitist? I’m a junior high drop out that worked along side convicted felons on a job site for a good portion of my youth. Then went out to grind from the bottom to gain the skills needed to continue to climb. After over two decades working for others. Finally started my own business. Started collecting a profit after a couple years and I’m now able to support a family of six on a very modest income. I’m who the elitist talk about when they push bills that destroy my family and business. Ironic I know but ignorance is bliss. There are ALWAYS options. However most would rather walk the rivers path rather than the tough climb through the woods and over the mountains. Don’t take the path of least resistance. Take the path that will get you where you want to be. Most don’t want to work for “free”. But it’s all perspective. What’s free when you’re leaving a skill that will allow you to charge 150.00 an hour? Education has a price. Free sounds like a fucking deal to me. And yes this can be done while working full time. Just like folks work full time and go to school full time to avoid school debt. So again, there are many options. If you live in the US today. There are no excuses, as long as you’re willing to work for it. Most want it handed to them. This creates the dilemma. I wish you luck on your journey. Being a victim is a choice.

@shuvari7707 I am the working class. I was laid off because of a unions greed. They’re not what they use to be. They’re greedy like corporations. But corporations must keep customers happy, employees working and still turn a profit. Unions just take, they don’t have to actually produce anything to anyone to keep collecting dues. You have those that don’t support unions. And those that haven’t been fucked by one yet.

@shuvari7707 I’m glad they’re working for you. I think those in the automotive, CWA and other unions where they wanted more then they produced would differ now that they’re out of jobs. I personally would shut down my family business before Id let others tell me what and how to make decisions for my business. Especially when they’re unable to make them for themselves.

@notahamsterr I try to explain this to the kids. They just don’t get it. Greatly appreciate the reply.

@naddarr1 I’ve worked for many. Actually almost all small businesses I’ve worked for were great. It’s the corporations that I had the biggest problems with. As for your situation, I would suggest finding better employment. On a side note. The business owner is a Republican politician.

@O. M. You’ve clearly never spent any time with a union. Spent over two decades with the CWA, very family with bylaws. Attempted what you’re talking about and all employees through all locations must agree and you always have one cunt in the bunch. Owners need to make decisions based on their business first. Not their employees. No business, no employees. You couldn’t be more disconnected from the reality of life, business and human nature. Good luck kid. 👍🏼
