  5.  @ZeroRelevance  yes, unless you are talking about another person Example 田中さんは英語と日本語が話せます You typically say はじめまして、ハルヒと言います Instead of 私の名前はハルヒです Even further still ハルヒです This is due to the context, you And your name is important not the 名前 part or 言い as a statement of "I am Haruhi" is easy to understand as its your name. The はじめまして is a great greeting also. As I learned from duolingo you can use 七時てす as it's 7 o'clock and 七時七分 as just 7:07. English listeners prefer a more coherent language than Japanese as I have explained based on my studying with the Duolingo owl 🦉 But it has made me think a lot more about the English language I use fluently. All this might be trivial should I apply to work for Nintendo but it would help me to play Japanese language games I can import.
