If that format is followed in todays champions league, the richer club like Real madrid, city,psg, liverpool etc will always get to final and the outcome still be the same but without thrilling match. Who will watch Psg vs Champions of Poland or other tiny nations league champions? It will be one sided match.

@RaseYourProbs No, champions of scotland, Poland etc will need a huge amount of money to attract star players. They have not a large fans too and with the declining of Premiere league, lq kiga, serie A will lead to declining in football because even 4th place team in premiere league has more fan base in their home country forget about the whole world and the asset they possessed. Only champions teams format will not bring football into present day glory. It will surely leads to a decline in football. Football is not only about games media and National also plays a big role in it.

@Djordjevicc Champions league is mostly made popular by English media and premiere plays a major role in popularizing champions league. Who care about spanish media unless you're from south America. Here in Asia majority watch english media and premiere league because we don't know garbage spanish, german and France language.
