Our members come from all the worlds faiths... from all backgrounds and from all strata of humanity. All in Freemasonry are considered equal. It is very common to have multi-millionaires in a Lodge, with the Master of the Lodge being a guy that makes pizzas. Each Mason is held in exactly the same regard as any other Mason...the world over. We prize high integrity and morality. It is a society veiled in allegory and illustrated by symbols. It takes good men and makes them better. All discussion of religion or politics is forbidden. We prize unity and harmony...those subjects create division and discord. Freemasonry is one of the worlds biggest contributors to charities. We don't just raise cash...we promote outreach in society. Lodges provide food and drink to the homeless, provides assistance in children's projects. There are 22 hospitals in the USA, founded by and which are funded by Freemasonry...for the FREE treatment of children, if their parents cannot afford it. Is that enough to be going on with?

Nobody knows the origins of Freemasonry but what is certain, is that it is so old, it PREDATES the existence of Germany. MOST Freemasons are Christian. Freemasonry is not a religious organisation... it is a fraternity. Stop telling lies about us.

However, there is no link at all between the KT's in those times and Freemasonry. Masonic scholars have been searching for...well as long as we have been going, I suspect...and found nothing.

As it happens, the contents of the secrets are completely unimportant. It is the KEEPING of the secrets that is important. Making a promise not to reveal them and KEEPING that promise, which is itself a symbol of integrity. After all, if a man cannot keep something so trivial as a few signs grips and words to himself, what is his word worth?

This, from a man, who had many many SECRET affairs! This, from a man who, by the very role he played in society, MUST have had secrets... nuclear codes etc? But in any event, that speech was not aimed at Freemasonry. It was delivered to the American Press Association and was to sort the rift between them and the White House press office. How could Jack Kennedy be opposed to Freemasonry, when his VP was a Mason and also his DG of the FBI!?

  45. @user-th3ll8rl7i In order to assist your theory, let me set the record straight. Firstly, the Illuminati no longer exist. They were around from 1776 to 1786. They existed as a forum for intellectuals to discuss various issues...science, mathematics, philosophy. At no point were they the bad guys as portrayed in Dan Brown's "Angels and Demons". Freemasonry has never had any "power" other than among it's own ranks. It is a requirement that Freemasonry and by extension, distances itself from politics and religion and anyone found using it for their own personal gain, is subject to Masonic sanction. I hope that is clear.

The Illuminati was a collection of intellectuals, that wished to be able to discuss the issues of the day, without the interference of the church, that, at the time, were known to accuse everyone and everything of heresy. Freemasonry has (probably) been around for 1000 years or so and still exists today. The Illuminati existed for ten years...1776 to 1786 and then disbanded. The Illuminati and Freemasonry have never ever been linked in any way.
