W H big no. And how the hell does it look like a duck? By that logic then the noble, mcleran f1 anf clk gtr also look like a duck..... Its not about the looks so much as it is about the performance.. Overall I like it. Its simple. Not the best looking but its a hommage to how the clk gtr or mcleran f1 looked (ish) from the front. Lmp1 like design... Where its function over design as main priority. And the figures alone of doing 0-100kmph in 2 seconds and 0-200kmph in under 6 seconds is very exciting. Overall I am satisfied with the car (both looks and performance figures) but you guys are more than welcome to disagree.

Its not about the looks so much as it is about the performance.. Overall I actually really like it. Its simple. Not the best looking but not ugly either. And the figures alone of doing 0-100kmph in 2 seconds and 0-200kmph in under 6 seconds is very exciting. +Kev27RS Its new design language for mercedes yes but that doesn't mean that there isn't any mercedes dna in the design. It looks like a modern mcelaren f1, noble and clk gtr. NO I don't mean it in the sense that they ripped off a c class front and rear and put it on a hypercar body, that would look hidious. I mean in the actual shape and proportions of the car. Regardless I still think it looks like a mercedes. Yes not as much to the traditional mercedes design language but never the less mercedes. And I think its a good idea for them to explore other designs and think out of the box. The hyper car is meant to be the next wave that highlights new mercedes design language that will likely pass on to other mercedes down the spectrum in the near future. SO what I am saying is that yes you have a point but you are slightly overexaggerating. I am not saying that it looks totally like a mercedes however there are still elements to the car that are very reminiscent to the clk gtr as Dan talked about. Overall this shift in design language is no bad thing.

The only thing you will be laughing about is how insanely quickly you are accelerating! ;) V6 means relatively lighter engine and with electric power motors on all four wheels to compensate for torque its an absolute beast. Transaltion: 0-100kmph in 2 seconds! And 0-200kmph in under 6 seconds!

+Gadarinco +Life of a Cricket No this is definitely Mercedes. Yes its new design language for the company but thats no bad thing as hypercars are meant to showcase and push the boundaires of technology and design language that will later trickle down to other models in the future. It still has some Mercedes DNA in its design. The front grill of this project one is the exact same design found on the front diffusers of other amg models. Furthermore this project one car shares its proportions with and takes many design ques from the clk gtr and sauber c9.... A modern version of them if you will. So yes its new design language for Mercedes however there is still Mercedes DNA in its design.

By that logic the noble, mcleran f1 and clk gtr have ugly fronts..... I like it. Its simple and very much like a homage to the clk gtr

+LaSombra CS:GO Its not a combination, people just see it differently. Lets be real? Looks are subjective. With your kind of thinking then you can say practically every car look like this car + this car +...... It looks like a modern version of the clk gtr. The front is not ugly. I can understand not liking it but its not ugly.. Furthermore, this car is not about the looks so much as it is about the performance.. Overall I like it. Its simple. Not the best looking but its a hommage to how the clk gtr or mcleran f1 looked (ish) from the front. Lmp1 like design... Where its function over design as main priority. I am not saying that it looks totally like a mercedes however there are still elements to the car that are very reminiscent to the clk gtr [(side skits and the like) with a more rounded body styling similar to the AMG Gran Turismo and an 'F1 McLaren-esque' front face. Just look at the stance, the c-pillers, the roof scoop, wheel arches, arch haunches, front side intake to point out a few..] Overall this shift in design language is no bad thing.

Kev27RS it still has Mercedes DNA and design language so no not nothing. Its like a modern clk gtr

+Screebob I actually love the sharkfin, it makes it very unique and looks great with the wing up imo ;)

+Kev27RS Likewise ;)

Kev27RS no it does look like a Mercedes. Not fully but there still is a lot of Mercedes design language. It looks like a modern clk gtr.

Looks are subjective. Figures are not however so project one is definitely more exciting performance figures wise. 0-100kmph in 2 seconds. 0-200kmph in under 6 seconds! These are f1/lmp1 figures available to use on the street!

+TylerSanders Actually The mercs aero is not as obvious and is somewhat hidden, kind of like Lamborghini in their ala how its also hidden and not obvious at merely first glance......its front being shapped like that of the f1 or clk gtr also helps a lot. However overall I think its still fair to say Valkyrie has more aero, sure I will give you that. But to suggest that it will murder the project one? Lmao you have to be a fanboy to say that. I think its more fair to say that it will be a tight race and that the type of track they race on will be a key component. The Valkyrie has a v12, great for high speeds but its not as effective as a lighter 1.6 v6 combined with 4 electric motors. Consequently...... where the valkyrie will have a corning advantage mercedes will more than make up for that with its brutally fast acceleration. The v12 can't touch electric motors in acceleration which have instant torque. As a result the Project One does 0-100kmph in 2 seconds and 0-200kmph in under 6 seconds! These are f1/lmp1 figures available to use on the street! just look at the foundation these cars are based on...the f1 cars........last time i checked mercedes is kicking red bulls ass in formula one big time..So if anything it looks like the project one will murder the valkyrie......However I will be more conservative and say that it will be a tight race which I think is fair to say. Regardless they are both amazing epic cars!

+Legio XXI Rapax Lmao you say I am a fanboy while you talk like a mercedes hater. And I am replying here since your comment won't appear when I click on it. I am a fan not a fanboy. 1) Not correct, project one has better power to weight ratio...project one has 1:1 power to weight ratio fxxk doesn't, it weighs (1295)more than the amount of power it has (1036) So the only one bs'ing is you 2) Lmao you genius the video you showed me is the OLD fxxk not the new one! The LaFxxk is NOT street legal. We are talking about the cars being street legal from the factory no modificication neccessary which would void a warranty...that would be stupid test.....may as well compare moded car to moded car. You talk about bs while using it in the same sentence! 3) Lmao excuses? They are not excuses its a valid reason. Name me 10 examples of hypercars with 30k miles on them let alone 50k. The reality is people don't drive these things a lot. This is a valid arguement not an exuse. You couldn't even properly counter it so ironically its you who is making excuses. Again I am not a fanboy. I am a fan because I still appreciate other companies and what they have to offer and have arguements to back up my statements. By your logic then you are a ferrari fanboy and mercedes hater.

Muhluri Nkuna I think it does have a lot of form just that there is a focus for function more.

+TheWeeky It looks like you are talking about the car overall. in you're comment you were not specific that it was the looks that you didn't like. Hate??? I can understand and respect not liking it or liking other car designs over it, but to hate it???? By that logic then you must also hate the mcleran f1, the noble and the clk gtr since this car looks very much a like a modern version of them.
1
+TheWeeky Ok I respect your opinion. I like it. Its nice and simple and as I told you this car is more about function over design as main priority.

+amorgeddon No the Project one does have some mercedes dna and design language. Its front grill is very much like the front diffusers of current mercedes models. Its proportions are also very reminiscent to the clk gtr and Mercedes sauber C9. So yes its a sharp turn from traditional mercedes design language however there are still many elements of mercedes dna present in its design. Those displays are not cheap and they are simplistic and very much like what you would find in real lmp1 cars. This car is not about the looks so much as it is about the performance.. Overall I like it. Its simple. Not the best looking but its a hommage to how the clk gtr or mcleran f1 looked (ish) from the front. Lmp1 like design... +Legio XXXI Rapax Its not a useless car all. The only thing thats useless is your comment. First of all the amg doesn't need to have more hospower, it has a better power to weight ratio than the fxxk which is 1:1. Its not about how much power you have. Its about how you put it down. And thanks to the 4 elctric moters and light v6 the project one will rocket to 100kmph in just 2 seconds and will hit 200kmph in under 6 seconds, a much faster acceleration than the ferrari as far as I know. Second of al lthe Fxxk is not even street legal which makes your whole comparison almost entirely pointless. The fundemental premise of the project one is brining f1 technology and performance to the streets. Thirdly, yes 50 000 km is not a lot but to be fair most these cars are barely driven a quarter of that mileage let alone 50 0000km so in that respect its not bad all. I would rather have a better experience in those limited miles than more. Quality over quantity, and it gives you a lot more enjoyment for each mile. Plus if you are that rich buying a car like this then buying a new engine won't even scratch your account.
1
+shamarone I mean new relatively speaking. I am fully aware that the design takes inspiration and dna from older/classic amg which is fact my entire arguement however relative to how far mercedes have transitioned away from that kind of design language they have brought it back with the project one....hence its relatively new in that respect.
