Paolo Munarolo they are not meant to compete with each other. ....thus the amg gt is not meant to replace the sls........ the sls is more of a super car... amg gt is more of a 911 competitor even still I would prefer amg gt over sls because even tho it's not meant to compete the amg gt destroys the sls performance wise handling wise, acceleration not to mention has a far nicer interior ..also the sls has an awful transmission

  2. no first of all looks are subjective.....second of all amg gtr is not meant to replace sls bs (which you were kind of implying to) yet it destroys it performance wise handling wise, acceleration not to mention has a far nicer interior and for its price the amg gt r looks much better. it's 'a' shape grill is incredibly aggressive and the whole car looks much more athletic than the boxy/edgy looking sls front the head lights on the sls is literally just a circle plus a straight line, how does that look better than the nice curve headlights of the amg gtr?

  4. To all those people saying that the sls bs is better than the amf gt r.... you are missing the point They are not meant to compete with each other. Sls is more of a supercar where as the gt is more of a super sports car....that competes with 911 models....thus the amg gt is not meant to replace the sls....just like the slr mcleran was never meant to replace the clk gtr...and just like the sls was never meant to replace the slr.... so saying the sls is better is as pointless as saying the 675lt is better than the 570s. or that the aventsdor sv is better than the hurucan or that the f12 is better than the 488 even tho the sls has an awful transmisson....amd even tho the amg gt r destroys the sls performance wise, handling wise accelerstion wise, ane has a far more luxurious interior, is more comfortable and in that respect ks a much betrer daily driver where it is as good of a race car as it is gt car

  6. nazokimi​ yes sls sounds way better than gt.... The gt still sounds great just not as good as the sls.....that's one perspective.... But on the flip side the amg gt is able to sound great without being anywhere near as much of a mosquito gas guzzler which the sls is....making the gt a better daily driver. So you see every point can have more than one perspective to it ;)

  8. *****​​ not replace... Well kinda.... It was meant to be the modern version of the 300sl..yes...so you are right ultimatly..... That's why you can tell that there are many design elements of the 300sl preserved in the sls's design language. The round rear end... the almost rectangular grill..... The wing doors... So you're absolutely right although I would say it's more of a modern version of the 300sl as opposed to a replacement... Because the convertible version of the 300sl would later be replaced by the sl line up of mercedes which still exists to this day as a hardtop convertable. And this is yet some other proof that the amg gt is not a replacement of the sls... Since its design is fresh from the ground up and shares virtually no design elements from the sls or 300sl with the exception of the long hood Sorry for the rant.... Hope that explains it.... Mansa Musa​ yes better is subjective but as far as which has more effort put into it... it's clear that a mere straight line and a circle of the sls is too simple to look better than the curve head lights of the sls So better wise it's subjective but effort wise its crystal clear that the gt headlights have more effort put into their design...
