That's because its in its beginning stage. Once it adavances enough you won't have to worry about the car at all. It will be like your own personal uber but much better. Because unlike taxi uber or a chauffer you don't have to call it to come and you dont have to pay anyone to drive you. So there is a huge future and potential for this kind of technology.

Lexus looks more sporty but s class looks a lot more elegant and classic.

Master Yoda lmao bs? Salty Lexus fanboy! So by your logic then LS stands for Lexus Sucks! Perfect looks like even lexus knew it themselves right? You call others fanboys... You should look in the mirror you hypocrite! Pathetic double standards. Lexus is not better value for money. Lexus is playing catch up to Mercedes. They only just now have technology that mercedes had years ago before lexus even knew it existed and still their are many technology and features s class has over lexus despite being released way before. Not to mention s class outsells lexus ls time and time again. And Mercedes is also reliable if you take care of it.

Master Yoda lmao Japan hasn't taken the throne from the Germans. German cars are also reliable if you take care of them. And since when was reliability the only criteria???? That's all you japense fanboys can talk about! What's the point of its reliable if it has no where near as emotion or performance level as the germans let alone the aspect of being fun to drive. Not to mention the fact that the Germans lead in technology and features whereas lexus struggles to follow and catch up forget lead! They are reliable if you take care of them. Are they money pits? Depends on the model but generally yes they are expensive to repair which partly why rich people buy them. But its nothing too serious if you take care of it especially with warranty. Otherwise no one would buy them and clearly that isn't the case. Their craftsmanship, technology performance features etc more than make up for not being as reliable as say lexus. So this doesn't take away the thrown from the Germans whatsoever. Its lexus trying to be like the Germans, not the other way around.

DGFr0sty it's not over engineering. Its being innovative and leaders of technology and the automoble industry which is why a 3-4 year old lexus still has more luxurious amenities and technologoes than any lexus. Lexus are playing catch up to Mercedes. Not only are they not leading in technology, they can barely follow. Without the Germans "over engineering" technology wouldn't make it to market as quickly or efficiently as it does today. And they are reliable if you take care of it. Mercedes have to be reliable in fact..... They have trucks and unimogs and their cars are used as taxis.... All of these industries rely heavily on reliability. Of Mercedes weren't reliable then people wouldn't buy them its as simple as that. So expensive to maintain? Sure but reliable if you take care of them. So you arent making a sacrifice.
