TopCar10s nope I didn't watch top gear and you ought to post the link here , look at nurburgring lap times, amg gt r is much faster than the Audi r8 v10+ So sorry my argument remains valid
2
TopCar10s no because it's not as luxurious as the merc
2
TopCar10s sorry merc is better than audi in general The amg project one hyper car is coming soon and will be a monster Audi just left leman where as Mercedes is still in f1 In general low end audi like the rs3 tend to be better than their Mercedes competitors but high end Mercedes tend to be better than high end audi like a8
2
TopCar10s well if you want me to believe you... You can easily post a video here with a thumbs up and the car and I will believe you in which case good for you mate I am not doubting that it would be a kickass car to own. It's a weapon and like I said you can't go wrong with it. I am just saying they are different beasts designed for slightly different goals.... I just like the amgs character more and admittedly I am a merc fanboy That said I think the r8 (particularly the spyder) is designed to cruise around and murder back roads like a boss with a smile on your face whereas the amg gt r is deidnged as a track weapon that will bring you emmense enjoyment pushing it to it's limits yet it's still street legal and luxrioisc along you to live with it everyday like the r8 and enjoy it on the streets too
2
I don't like the back of it..... it looks weak especially in comparison to the 488 gtb.. huracan and 675lt. front is amazing tho
2
***** it is not a bently (its better) and they don't use fake everything. Small screen? it's dual 12 inch screens with beautiful resolution lol who are you trying to fool?! It's better than a bently interior... It has massage seats, ambient lighting, perfume etc... Lol how about fake argument becuz you don't have a real one!
2
I prefer the Huracan over these
2
***** Your right inline 6, but still doesn't change my point that they are ditching the v8!
2
Soulx CrusherX ok m5 will be interesting but any claims you make are just that... They are nothing but fan boy claims and pure speculation. Wait for it to come out then talk. Also the fact that bmw is taking this long to come out with the m5 (which it still to this day hasn't been even unveiled yet) shows just how good the e63s is.
2
jamviator it has a technology where if you stop at a light and a car behind you is about to run into you it will flash the hazard lights to signal the driver behind you to stop. BMW gaurenteed does not have this technology
2
AGREED!!!
2
+Sid Acidic yes they look better, and I have actually sat in it, nothing like the bs people say about them
2
ManiakP0w3r none of the above *maybe you are though
2
What?!?!
2
Nathaniel Foo thanks, i didn't see news anywhere about this but i am really exited if they decide to actually do this! :D
2
Neb Miletovic with the right engineering a rwd can still beat a awd. The amg gt R's torque also helps it exit from corners better so ya the numbers don't lie
2
Gerald Holley I will give you the sound but the amg still sounds amazing while being more efficient than the Audi. The amg gt r is faster around the track then the r8, no question.
2
Tyler Hoeve haha clueless? crying? Says the triggered hater! Lol you didnt shut down anything. The only person you should shut down is yourself! Get out of here with your stupid hate bs, no body cares. Its a fact that the amg gt r is a masterpiece for amg, it won ay the nurburing 5 times in a row and bests the audi and porshe on the track, your opinions don't mean anything. nuff said.
2
Tyler Hoeve lol what evidence do you have? That's Nothing more than your assumption, ya man im crying because the gt r just murdered the porshe, it should have been more merciful oh that poor thing!
2
Tyler Hoeve #your repetition of hashtags doesn't change the fact that Mercedes won and is the new king. Why would I cry about that! Lol, it's probably you who is the one who is crying!
2
Watsitz overused stereotype
2
He can like it, but that doesn't mean he has to inject his own bias into the whole review!
2
Kaisuke971 yes it does, there a few tweaks but if you saw this from a distance you would be hard pressed to tell if it was 2017 or not
2
Very nice Bentley finally stepping up your game big time
2
Less luxury, less features, less luxurious amenetities, less technology, less comfortable, slower quarter mile time, costs more........yah definetly ...cough cough. Merc is so much more value than the panamera.
2
BB-8 that's what they said then they changed their mind and during the end of production cycle of the amg gt there will be a black series version
2
Nah x1 is the best.
2
how?????

THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU !!!

Alex N Simpler? How my friend? And even if it is simple....simple does not equal better....the e class looks nicer with its bigger dual 12 inch displays and very beautiful ambient lighting..the bmw interior is nice, many like it but its getting outdated for a lot of people like myself. whereas the rest of the market seems to be innovating new interior designs. In that respect I find the e class interior personally more attractive. But I respect your opinion and agree that it depends on the person's taste ultimately.
1
***** I know, but I mean to say that its a little bit more noticeable on the e class because you have that line sweeping accross the whole dash board, but ya
1
Komor Uddin I agree, even a small change would be a big differnce, but can't wait to see what they will come up with
1
Alex N alright your preference I respect that. I just find it lazy on BMW s interior department team for not unleshing great designs I know they are capable of
1
***** When I am saying the old c63 black series is better than the old m3 gts I am not the only one with 100 people saying this. Chris Harris on Cars even agrees, see the episode b/w the Porshe 911 vs c63 Black series vs m3 gts for yourself. Im not trolling, Im just referencing reality and countering stupid claims like the one that "merc are taxi" which is uterly un-true. I agree, ultimately when people buy any car they don't give a crap what others think about it. And thats good, they shouldn't and niether do I, but i do give a crap about false accusations about a car being a taxi when the average bmw fanboy doesn't even bother to think why the germans would choose it over bmw as a taxi. I don't think there is a problem with arguing, its inevitable since we each have different tastes, but I do think there is a problem with hate bashing which is different from arguing and disagreeing with false claims
1
***** i'll try..... :/
1
jamviator how so? Have you even sat in an s class ? The quality is at least just as good if not better and most people prefer the design of it interior wise over the 7 series. I'm not denying the quality of the 7 series but honestly both these cars are so high quality that you won't notice the difference in quality so Much as falling in love with the design of the cabin as well. I speak from experience having sat in them
1
jamviator alright fair enough... Just remember that a lot of car reviewers overall prefer the s class like moter trend and car wow and many others. I respect your view tho
1
jamviator Well you don't hear people say that MT are biased to other companies...but besides that.. the point is, is that I did mention other reviewers.....but like I said, I respect your opinion even though I disagree its a valid opinion non-the-less. And even if the quality is better (which I find hard to believe having sat in both) then it isn't the kind that the average person who buys this car would notice. You would have to be very picky to say so? And I'm curious how the mercedes wasn't better quality? it has Burmester speakers, Leather seats...in fact I don't need to do the talking....here is an example of a review team that don't 100% agree with Matt Watson http://www.whatcar.com/news/bmw-7-series-vs-mercedes-s-class-what-are-they-like-inside/
1
Phillip Lewicki I respectfully disgree with your opinion. The screens look gorgeous, they are dual 12" high rez screens and they are as awesome from my experience Circular air vents look much better than rectangular vents IMO. Rectangular air vents look like they belong on a Toyota or honda and sometimes look cheap in comparison to circular air vents, take a look at ferrari and mcleran they also have circular air vents and they look nice. In comparison a lamborughini aventador and it's rectangular air vents look hidious for instance.
1
Miles Sanford lmao that is riduclous they are on par In terms of quality and any one who says otherwise clearly has never actually sat in them. Subjective wise the merc looks far better and feels more special than the BMW. With the bmw you are tired of the outdated looking design that is repeated in all their models, that same stuck trapezoid/rectangle tablet screen and those rectangle/parallelogram air vents that look like they belong on some cheap Toyota or Honda. It's an outdated interior that looks extremely similar to practically every other bmw model and even bmw fanboys admit this. The merc feels far more special in comparison with no other merc interior looking similar to it at all (except the s class)
1
Phillip Lewicki not all bmw air vents look cheap but the ones in the 2 and 3 series look directly from a Toyota or Honda even in person as I have sat in them at autoshows Looking similar is fine... To a certain extent... Not when Evey single model has the exact same design language both interior and exterior(in particular interior). This is especially irritating because when you pay a higher price you don't want to have an interior that looks like every other bmw, you want something special. And what's also annoying is that we all know bmw could do better. Look at porshe they have had the same interior for years... Then came the new panerema where they created a new design and look how much better it looks. This is my issue with bmw, if the interiors didn't look so outdated and similar in every model I would find myself becoming a bmw fanboy rather quickly. Yes c e and s -similar to how 3 5 and 7 look similar - but at least the interiors don't look exactly the same as every other Mercedes... For example you won't find the design language of the s class on any other Mercedes except the (except e.). This gives it a more special feeling which is important when paying that much higher if a price, you want some distinction from the other models... Whereas bmw they all look too similar, IMO bmw could have done more to make the interior of the 7 more special them go with the trapezoid look layout and look.... As a rwult the 7 series shared tok much in Common with it's otjer bmw brothers, lacking the uniqueness to distinguish itself more than other BMW's in a manner that justifies the significantly higher price tag. Once the new merc interiors came the Old merc interiors looked hidious, as simple as that . These new ones look better in every way shape and form. They also come with bigger and better rez screens, ambient lighting and feature a more elegant curvy look rather than straight edgy interior design of the previous models. How do they look teenie??? They look great and many people agree on this even bmw fanboys
1
jamviator no it does not look hiduous they are gorgeous dual 12" screens with high rez Could they have done a better job? Sure they could have made it frameless to give it a crisper finish But that's doesn't mean it looks tacked on. That doesn't even make sense .....under that logic you could say that the bmw screen then is a "tacked on" trapezoid/rectangle tablet. Heck you could way that about almost all cars That's just ridiculous because they are screens, there is No other way of doing it... You either put the screen on (top) the dash or within the dash itself. So don't use that tacked on bs term it gets thrown around so much out of con text
1
Phillip Lewicki they are different but not different enough, they are still too similar for my liking. There is a similar pattern of the trapezoid screen being used throughout their models which is getting outdated. S class interior looks nothing like any other Mercedes in comparison and this makes it feel more special than a 7 series is to the rest of the bmw line up. Their is nothing wrong with circular air vents, mcleran and Ferrari use them all the time and they suit the design of the interior well. The screen looks great as well, sure you could argue that they could be better but you could say that about any car if you're honest with yourself. I love it and in person it works, very well. Yes I have a sat in a lot of these German cars and one thing they get right that you notice immediately when you get in is the quality and craftsmanship. They are all on par in terms of quality and you wouldn't be disappointed with any of them. I just find that the new merc interiors have grabbed my attention the most (a lot more) and better cacooned me in luxury. That said if you like the design you can't go wrong with any German brand.
1
Phillip Lewicki may I ask what about them in particular you don't like about their design?
1
jamviator They are not "slapped on" otherwise under that logic all car screens are "slapped on" Could they be more integrated into the dash? Yes, this is what I meant by having a frameless design but they leave a gap on purpose to allow the ambient lighting to shine through which is actually nice touch tbh. BTW I can't see links when you do that... how many times do I have to tell you, provide a HYPERLINK "Zero astetic design" said the bmw fanboy lol, very credible lol. Again, Don't use the "slapped on term" because that can be said about practically every single car Bmw slaps on a trapezoid/rectangle tablet on the up of their dash.... Tesla slaps on a giant iPad .... Come on... Cut the bs, how else do you put a screen in a car?? There is no gps you could get that could match the size and resolution of the s class. The realty is thay it works in person, also note that this was from 2-4 years ago. New s class is on the way due this year
1
Phillip Lewicki but would rectangular vents look as cool? Or remind you of a Toyota? Take the lambourghini aventador for example, it has rectangular air vents that look like they came straight off a Honda or Toyota, they look hidious and ruin the astetics of the interior. This is how I feel about rectangular air vents in general. Circular airvemts tend to have a more raw sporty/elegant feel which is why mcleran and Ferrari use them. This feel more than comprises the slight loss in space productivity
1
jamviator "S class screen is supposed to be integrated in the dash" And it is! But that's not the sole intention. It's a combination of a floating screen and dash integration. There is a gap behind the screen on purpose to give space for the ambient lighting to shine through. This is not glued on you idiot and it looks beautiful, especially for those that experience it in person.
1
Phillip Lewicki if you are referring to audis virtual cockpit then yes it is outstanding however I wouldn't say it's better. Such an implementation would not suit The s class deosgn where the screens have differmt functions but are lined up together nicely to keep that elegant dash design. This is not lazy at all, it gives the car a wider first class yacht like look as opposed to a business class look of the Audi. Mercedes integrated it nicely actually and it serves it's purpose well making it look absolutely nothing like any other interior design
1
Phillip Lewicki lol you are hilarious I never mentioned air vents being more modern I said they were more sporty/elegant.... so learn to read my friend " There are ways to let ambient lighting through" I don't think you understood what I was trying to say if that's your reply.... The ambient lighting is behind the screen to give it a nice effect its the way its implemented that suits the s class Why would they make the screens apart, the whole point is that they meet each other in the middle that's what makes this interior design stand out in comparison to any other interior on the market. The center infotainment screen unites with the dash screen to give the interior a wider, more premium look and elgant design that resembles a yacht/wave It looks far more special and elegant than the edgy 7 series design. And the amg version also looks more sporty than the bmw lmao bmw doesn't even have a flat bottom steering wheel on any of their cars including m! Almost all supercars and sports cars have flat bottom! How sad for bmw...the interior of the 7 looks like a buffed up 2 series interior ...thats pretty sad for such a huge price difference Oh and by the way the new s class had this design 2-4 years ago and yet more people prefer it over the bmw..... Imagine the new s class which is on the way for this year in geneva
1
jamviator you're such a dumbass It can in fact be integrated and floating at the same time Facing it from the front it resembles an integrated screen, facing it from the side it is floating with respect to the gap behind it. This gives it a nice look that can be even more appreciated in person. It's as if it is free standing in a tunnel/room(touching only the floor and ceiling). It's not compeltly floating/standing on its own, but neither it is it compeltly integrated I to the dash(wall).. So yes it can in fact be both, you are just to dumb to comprehend and visualize how. The ambient lighting behind it gives it an even nicer effect for the cabin. "You don't have to have the ambient lighting behind it" Ya you do, you won't get the same soft gentle natural effect otherwise. This is a nicer effect where it's not directly glowing (forced) at you but rather spreading around the screen and dashboard and cabin much more elegantly/naturally So how about you duck tape your mouth and hands before spewing crap next time. You are just a merc hater and bmw fanboy admit it. You can't hide from who you are.
