Sure the mcleran is faster in a straight line(largly thanks to the carbon fibre used), but thats not what the gt r was meant for, its meant for the track to which it beats the mcleran.

But the gt r is meant for track which is where it kicks everyone's ass I'm not crying, I'm just saying how drag race is not the only thing, and that on the track the Mercedes serves the Audi it's own medicine that it used on the Mercedes for the drag race

You can easily post a video here with a thumbs up and the car and I will believe you in which case good for you mate I am not doubting that it would be a kickass car to own. It's a weapon and like I said you can't go wrong with it. I am just saying they are different beasts designed for slightly different goals.... I just like the amgs character more and admittedly I am a merc fanboy That said I think the r8 (particularly the spyder) is designed to cruise around and murder back roads like a boss with a smile on your face whereas the amg gt r is deidnged as a track weapon that will bring you emmense enjoyment pushing it to it's limits yet it's still street legal and luxrioisc along you to live with it everyday like the r8 and enjoy it on the streets too

TopCar10s wrong Looks are subjective, amg gt r looks way more athletic than the r8 The r8 sounds better sure but the amg gt r also sounds good and is no where near as Much of a mosquito gas guzzler as the r8 so that works out in the end Performance we just established Audi with it's quattro awd is faster than the amg gt on a straight line but around the track the amg is faster The amg gives you a greater connection to the road. It's a drivers car that you can daily and take to the track and take as a gt car. Look you can't go wrong with either, no question about that. And I think we are asking the wrong question. It's not which one is better . Because while they compete in the same segment they target slightly different audiences. Amg is a street legal track car that you can enjoy on the track just as Much as you do on the street... One that is engaging to drive. R8 is more of a car that you enjoy cruising around with power and thunder under your foot. I would get r8 sypder over amg gt c but I would get the amg gt r over the r8 v10+

The merc is on par if not more luxurious than the audi Better power is tje point, it's power to weight ratio The problem with the r8 is that it doesn't really look like a super car as much as say a huracan does It has better sound sure but at the cost if being a gas guzzling musquito. Mercedes is able to sound jod without consuming anywhere near as much fuel so invalid comparison

And please take your stupid taxi argument else where. The amg gt is not a taxi car by any means. And for the Mercedes that are use as taxi like e class that is not a bad thing at all. If anything it's a compliment because out of all the German car company is they choose Mercedes because it's WAY more reliable and bullet proof and WAY more luxurious than any Audi. So that's a testament to the durability and luxury of Mercedes. Also amg gt crushed Audi r8 track time wise.... Let alone the amg gt r which murdered the Audi v10+ on nurburgring. So based in your assumption the Audi got it's ass kicked by a "taxi" . How pathetic! lmao!
