  1. Surely you mean lack of interest rate hikes, we need to be ahead of the US Fed not behind it. Im looking forward to an increase of at least 1% on 3rd Nov and then again in Dec with more into the new year. Base rate at less than 5% is a nonsense and won't control inflation.

  5. Hunt, Sunak, Truss and every Conservative share the same vision of a High Growth Low Tax economy, however unfunded tax cuts on top of huge unfunded expenditure wasn't very clever. Why the OBR report was not released on the same day was utter madness. Hunt did exactly what was needed at exactly the right time.

  12. Perhaps if the Mini Budget and Financial statement were given on the same day, the markets would have had more confidence ? Unfunded tax cuts heaped on top of other huge unfunded expenditures with no explanation of how the country was going to pay for it wasn't exactly clever ?

  17. The issue wasn't the tax cuts, who doesn't like tax cuts, it was that were unfunded and the UK already has too much debt.
