  1. How can private rental sector increase when the availability of properties to rent is decreasing ? Government policy in recent years has made owning investment property far less attractive and many landlords have either sold up or reduced their portfolios.

  3. Spoken like someone who is unlikely to ever amount too much. The top 50% of earners already pay 90% of all income tax and its the bottom 50% of earners that receive the most benefits from the state.

  4. The rich have the luxury of living anywhere they choose. The much hated Non Dom Tax scheme is to ensure some of them live here, pay tax on their UK earnings and importantly spend their wealth here.

  5. Wealth can very easily moved. I paid £47,000 Stamp Duty a few years ago, whats that if not a tax on wealth ?

  10. Wealth is already taxed very highly. Try buying a multi million pound property or new Ferrari and look at the obscene amount of tax you pay ?

  12.  @paullegend6798  Sensible tax planning and professional advise can negate the effect of IHT and in some cases avoid it completely. It worked for me !
