That's just round one. A peace deal will be found, it will just take a bit longer. It's in everyones interests to do so and Trump wants to known as the "peace maker".

The full state pension is below the personal allowance so you don't lose anything. If you are fortunate enough to have an additional income that when combined with your state pension exceeds your personal allowance you pay tax just like everyone else whose income exceeds their personal allowance.

3
Am I to understand that Sunak is personally responsible for the Pandemic and Putin invading Ukraine, the two factors above all else that have lead to the current economic situation ? Whilst I would rather Truss as PM, Sunak recognises that you can't fund tax cuts with more debt.
3
@Stem Artin The UK doesn't have a formal written constitution, unlike the US. Common Law is over-ridden by statute, that's laws made by Parliament. Any first year Law student will know this.
3

A Democratic controlled State and a DA who has a reputation for not prosecuting real crime, says it all !

@karendovey3538 That's part of the problem, people aren't willing to relocate to cheaper areas.

2
@888ssss Very few banks actually needed a UK taxpayer funded bailout. The UK's biggest Bank, HSBC didn't and they just brought Silicon Bank.

With its huge majority Labour aren't going anywhere and Starmer is the least worst option as PM.
