  12. Reform said the same. The reality is that IHT raised £4.3Bn in the 6 months to Sept 24, a 10% increase on the previous period. With an annual value of £9Bn and increasing its unaffordable unless many other taxes are increased /services cut to compensate.

  15. IHT is an immoral tax and needs to be abolished. I'm more than happy for other taxes to be increased to compensate for the lost £9Bn a year in revenue.

  17. Why should they. The farmer in my lane, rents all his fields to others who farm it and pay a fixed annual rental. Like Clarkson he is wealthy person who has numerous sources of income and wants to spend his time doing the things he enjoys.
