  1. Firstly and most importantly you are buying a home and we all need somewhere to live. Historically property has proven to be an excellent investment, but must be considered as a medium to long term one. During my 40 years of property ownership I have seen periods of rapid appreciation and other times when the market has fallen, but overall I have done very well.

  2.  @nataliam9764  For what, higher interest rates ? Be very careful, if you delay you may manage to buy a property for a little less but your cost of borrowing could easily much greater, possibly even unaffordable !

  4. It is, availability of credit is just one of a myriad of factors that influence the balance of supply and demand. I don't see the supply of credit being an issue, affordability however may become more important.
