  1. The top 1% of earners already pay over one third of all income tax, the bottom 50% just 10%. Why would the rich choose to stay in the UK if it's tax regime penalised them, I wouldn't.

  3.  @FourGreenFields  It's a misconception that Non Doms don't pay tax. Firstly they are charged a substantial fee of up to £60,000 annually and they pay tax on all their UK earnings. They don't pay tax on their non UK earnings which must remain held overseas. Importantly they spend their wealth here, which is very good for our economy. Non Dom tax status attracts these very wealth people to the UK, the alternative is they go elsewhere, then the UK gets nothing.

  4. Non Dom tax status isn't a loophole, its a deliberate HMRC scheme which is very good for our economy. Without the scheme, they wouldn't choose to live here, then the UK gets nothing.
