That's a relief, I thought it was part of my job description.

Some pre Covid thriving businesses will fail as there customer base is reduced, employees will loose their jobs. VAT receipts will be lower as people no longer drive to and from work or visit clients as regularly.

@davidroberts3280 Not if your business relied on employees being office based for its customers.

The economic effects are the main factors exacerbated as we move into recession.People spend less at home which is bad for the economy. Some types of business which rely on workers being office based will / have failed and employees will have lost their jobs. Tax receipts are lower, particularly VAT as workers no longer use their vehicles for going to and from work.

From an economic perspective home based people spend less, tax receipts are lower, businesses that rely on workers being office based fail and people lose their jobs. For every winner there is a loser.

Tory culture is about making money. Working from home is very bad for the economy, people spend less, tax receipts are less.

Working from home is bad for the economy, people no longer frequent as often, if at all, those shops and businesses they did pre Covid. Some businesses will fail as a direct consequence and some people will loose their jobs. VAT receipts on such items as petrol/diesel sales will be lower as people no longer need to drive to and from work. Whilst I think it's a change for the better and a win/win for both employer and employee, there is also a cost to the economy.

Think economy, whats more important than money ? Working from home is very bad, people spend less, tax receipts are less.

Its a bugger if your business and its employees rely on workers being office based for it's customers.
