  1. Perhaps everyone held up was waiting for someone else to phone the Police ? If every person had phoned 999 they would have come soon enough. Deluge the 999 line with calls every time this happens.

  4. Because the public are largely apathetic, they will moan a lot but actually do nothing constructive. How many people held up phoned 999 or emailed the Chief Constable or their MP ? If phone lines are jammed and Email inboxes are full then the profile is raised.

  6. The police can only respond when someone makes a report. If everyone being held up by these idiots phoned 999 they would come quick enough. However most people rely on others to do it for them.

  8.  @_Ben4810  Im sure he does speak for the overwhelming majority of road users. I would certainly be a witness for the defence. These idiots are a danger to themselves and other road uses and its only a matter of time until one gets badly hurt of worse.

  9. Sadly not until someone is badly hurt that anything will be done. A pedestrian bridge over a busy rod only gets built after someone is killed.
