@AreMullets4AustraliansOnly Wrong ! If Non Dom status is removed the UK is no longer an attractive place for these very wealthy overseas citizens to make their homes. They pay tax on their UK earnings and a large fee for being a Non Dom. Importantly they spend their wealth in the UK, much of which attracts tax like VAT. They are very good for our economy. Unlike ordinary people the very rich have the luxury of choosing where they live and can easily go elsewhere.

Non Dom tax status is a deliberate policy by HMRC to attract very wealthy people from other countries to make their homes in the UK. They pay UK tax on their UK earnings plus a large fee for being a Non Dom. These individuals spend their wealth here which is very good for our economy.

@EmmaLouiseHamilton I doubt if very many of those who comment understand what a Non Dom is and just how good having the super rich spending their wealth in the UK is for our economy.
