90% of all income tax is paid by the highest 50% of earners, 25% by the top 1%. Without them there is no benefits system ! Lower taxes provide the incentive for everyone to improve themselves and their own standard of living.

Interest rates are artificially low, they need to double and some. In 1979 base rate was 17% and that was painful.

It's a world market that sets the price. At the moment we have a surplus of gas in this country which is exported to France. We lack the storage capacity to keep it. That needs addressing.

Whilst increasing energy supply and in particular getting more gas from the North Sea is to be welcomed, it would be helpful to have the storage capacity to allow us to keep it rather than exporting it to France as we do at present.
