  1. No culture or country is blameless and history records both the good and the bad events. All cultures evolve and what was once commonplace and acceptable now is not. What is important is that we learn from history. The rector of my local church was burned at the stake in 1555 for being a heretic, his crime being a protestant. I'm proud to be British and still believe it's a great country despite all of those things we would rather forget. Regrettably we have fallen victim to the PC culture and our political leaders have become frightened of expressing opinions in case it offends a particular group in society, who are all voters. Like so many I won't be bending a knee for anyone but the Queen.
