  3. What a company decides to pay its employees is a commercial decision, it's not the business of government. Just imagine if the government decided that Premier Division footballers couldn't earn more than £1m a year. How long do you think they would remain in the UK ?

  4. Why, it's a commercial decision what any business decides to pay its employees. Just imagine if the Government capped all Premier Division footballers wages at £1m, would they stay in the UK or go elsewhere ? It's no different for Bankers or anyone else.
