  1. I once saw Larry Ellison strolling around the port in Auckland presumably on the way to his mega-yacht, just like any other regular Joe (well except for the mega-yacht bit). He's worth an estimated $60 billion USD and was ranked number 10 in the world on Forbes rich list. Wealthy enough for you? Do you think they only move around when it is dark, or maybe they have secret teleportation technology? They are just fucking people after all, they still have to go places.

  2. We bought our current family home 6 years ago for $725,000, which at the time seemed like a lot of money for a house. It's a nice place but it's no mansion & just one of hundreds of other similar houses in our suburb. Current market valuation based on sales in our area shows as 1.4 million, so getting close to 100% increase in just 6 years. It's insane - I don't even know how middle class people could service the loan you'd probably need on a 1.4 million dollar family home especially now interest rates are rising, but people are still buying them at this kind of money!
