I wouldn't bother cleaning the oxidization off the aluminium suspension parts, you are doing more harm than good - aluminium oxide once it forms a hard coating will act as a natural barrier to further oxidization - if you strip it off you are then just allowing another layer to form. This doesn't happen with iron oxide (rust) as it flakes off naturally allowing more rust to occur.
