Well the UK and Ireland seem to be slipping into fascism from the left hand side rather than the right - what with it now seemingly being possible to end up with a lengthy jail sentence just for hurting someone's feelings or expressing a view that doesn't fit in with the progressive regime. Remember, falling too far to the left or too far to the right generally ends up with you landing in the same place. Agree that the US is well out over the edge compared to the UK at this point though.
