  4.  @rossmanngroup  Well, I bought a Hoover Regal a few years ago after being tired of crappy stick-vacs - and I love that thing and all it's crazy but useful attachments. - I'm sure the company is as cr*pp* as you say - fortunately I've not had any problems, and now the vac is old enough that if it breaks now I'm not going to cry - but I'll definitely take your advise next time out.

  8. Excessive heat cycling will indeed destroy electronic components - sure it'll keep recording if you use the bypass, but it may be going past the level of heat the components are engineered for. So by "tricking" your camera to bypass the "artificial" safety system, what you are really doing is reducing the life of your camera.
